Theta - Virtually Lean
About Theta lean with less

About

Our Vision is to help business employ lean principles to get the best value from their limited human and physical resources, by removing waste and implementing continuous improvement.

Our goal is to do this by combining the capacity of lean with the power of virtual reality, to deliver training in novel ways never before imagined.

At Theta Wave, we have created VR lean training tools which are mobile and scalable, and give users an experience which is more effective than what is delivered by traditional teaching methods.

About Virtual Reality – endless possibilities

About Virtual Reality – endless possibilities

In a world where learners forget 70% of what they are taught within 24 hours, and 90% within one month, there must be a better way to engage workers and retain knowledge.

There is…

Virtual Reality (VR) immerses participants in a realistic, high-impact environment, fosters team building and is a highly effective and fun way to learn.

Research into the effectiveness of VR has found it reduces the time taken to learn, decreases trainee errors, increases the amount learnt, and helps learners retain knowledge more effectively than through using traditional methods.

VR builds skills in a safe and captivating environment while providing real-time data driven feedback.

About Lean – doing more with less

Lean is a structured methodology focused on maximizing customer value by minimising waste and optimising resource allocation.

The core objective of lean training is to create more value for customers with fewer resources by fostering a culture of efficiency and innovation.

Lean principles, practices and tools can be applied to produce higher quality goods and services with fewer faults, using less human effort, less space, less capital & less time, than traditional systems of production.

Lean is a structured methodology

The successful application of lean principles and methodologies relies upon systems that are sustainable.

Sustainability is:

  • about the ability to maintain a process continuously over time;
  • fundamentally changing the way we live and work, and
  • essential if we want to survive and thrive.

A key to being sustainable is either doing more with less or, generating more with the same effort and other inputs.

Lean and VR together are the ideal tools for reducing and/or eliminating resource usage and waste, and the promotion of sustainable practices.

The experience

Welcome to Lean PitstopTM

We’re transforming training with cutting-edge Virtual Reality (VR) led technology.

Experience virtual reality

01. Setting the Scene

  • Participants join the Theta Wave Racing Team where they will learn and then apply lean principles to refine their pitstop efficiency through the employment of continuous improvement tools across multiple rounds

02. Setup

  • We come to you saving you time and cost
  • All we need is two spaces each equivalent to the footprint of a motor car with a buffer around the perimeter
  • Most training rooms will suffice. The spaces can be co-located in the same room/area, or in different locations at your office/facility

03. The Training Delivery

  • Lean principles are first taught in a classroom setting before the theory is put into practice via 3 rounds of intense and exciting VR lean simulation
  • Data gathered from each round is analysed and workshopped among the team members between rounds using our continuous improvement processes
  • Other lean tools and techniques are also taught and then applied in a unique and impactful way to help improve People/Teamwork, Quality, Velocity and Cost metrics
  • The outcomes and other learnings from the day’s training are then summarised in a report for participants
